About Me

I am a mathematician and computer scientist. Currently I work as a senior associate at PwC, where I already worked from May 2016 – Mar 2017. In between I was a postdoctoral researcher in the research group Security in Information Technology (SIT) at the TU Darmstadt (Apr 2017 – Mar 2018). Before joining PwC for the first time, I was a PhD student/junior researcher in the theoretical computer science group at the University of Duisburg-Essen (Nov 2011 – May 2016) where I successfully defended my PhD thesis on April 20, 2016. Prior to that I studied mathematics at the University of Duisburg-Essen and graduated in 2011 with a German Diplom (comparable to both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in one).

In addition to my academic background, I also have an entrepreneurial one. Together with Roman Ortmann, I co-founded a small company in 2009. In the beginning, the company’s business area was sound reinforcement and lighting for small events (birthdays, weddings, proms). Later, we added IT support for small and medium sized businesses to our services.
